  • HPD Officer Eric Mehl discusses a series of scams targeting the Asian-American community. In one scam, crooks pose as IRS agents and call their victims claiming they owe back taxes. If they don't pay, they're threatened with arrest or deportation. In the second, victims receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a police officer. The victims are told they have an outstanding warrant and must pay money. Officer Mehl gives some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim.
