The American Cancer Society Oscar Experience Houston is the only Oscar viewing party in Houston officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The evening will include a live simulcast of the Academy Awards by KTRK Channel 13, as well as the red carpet with paparazzi photographers, a fun photo booth, dinner, drinks and a vodka-tasting station. All of the proceeds from Oscar Experience Houston enable the American Cancer Society to impact the lives of those touched by cancer through research and programs that support patients and their families!
"Oscar Night generates excitement all over the world," said Betti Guzman, regional vice president of the American Cancer Society. "With the Academy's help, our guests will feel like they are part of the A-list while raising money to support the American Cancer Society." The event's proceeds will benefit the Society's work. "While we are proud to be known as a leading supporter of cancer research, we also specialize in helping meet cancer patients' particular needs. Last year, we provided direct, free services to more than 26,000 patients and their families in our six-county region," said Guzman.
