NEWS PRODUCER

SALES TRAFFIC COORDINATOR - TEMPORARY


KTRK-TV, an ABC owned television station, has an immediate opening for a Temporary Sales Traffic Coordinator in the Traffic Department.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and a good communicator and strong team player with television station experience and a strong working knowledge of all traffic functions. Primary responsibilities include log preparation, commercial copy, program and break timing, maintaining commercial inventory, and order entry.

The individual must have an excellent work record, possess good arithmetic skills, have the ability to handle high volumes of detailed input and computer work particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, with accuracy. Prior experience with Wide Orbit traffic system a plus.

  • Three years experience working in major market television or print news Internet operation

  • Experience on Final Cut Pro
  • Experience on Photoshop
  • Experience shooting with both still and video camera
  • Experience creating and editing video for distribution on multiple platforms

Strong computer networking skills are required.

    The ideal candidate will have experience providing technical support in a broadcast environment and requires someone with a proven track record managing projects.     PART TIME BROADCAST TECHNICIAN


    The KTRK-TV Production Department is looking for a part time Broadcast Technician who is a self-starter and works well with others. Duties will include but not limited to building graphics with Adobe Photoshop CS 5.5, robotic camera operator, audio assistant, and floor manager for live and recorded programming. This position might also be used for various production-related duties as assigned by the Production Manager. Prior broadcast experience in a live Control Room environment is a plus. Qualified candidates must be able and willing to work flexible hours, early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays. Weekly work hours will vary. Applicants must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods of time.
