Kristi is a native Houstonian who learned the value of helping others from her parents. She began her public service in 1987 when she served on the board of Brazoria County Youth Home and successfully launched a toy drive benefiting children who were not yet placed in Foster homes during holidays and birthdays.

Kristi is currently the passionate Chairman and founder of K9s4Cops which is a non-profit charitable organization that supplies K9 service dogs to police and sheriffs departments. Kristi has served on many non-profit boards including the Houston Ballet, the Children's Museum of Houston, and The Council for Alcohol and Drugs. There have been very few organizations that have not benefited from Kristi's enthusiasm for volunteering

Kristi is actively supported in her many endeavors by her husband John and their family. Recently, Kristi has returned to her roots, breeding and showing Quarter horses. When not in the saddle or traveling, she and John focus much of their time at Kyle Field where you can find them at football and baseball games or on the sidelines of the basketball team cheering on their cherished Aggies!
