Help make a difference in a child's education. Take part in 'YMCA's Operation Backpack' and give a child the tools he or she needs to get a good education.
The eighth annual YMCA Operation Backpack drive will collect brand new backpacks filled with school supplies for children in 31 Houston area school districts from July 18 through August 11. The 40 YMCA of Greater Houston facilities throughout the city, as well as several HEB Locations and Shoe Carnival Locations, will serve as collection sites for people to drop off backpacks and supplies.
You can also join us for YMCA Operation Backpack at the ABC-13 Studios Friday, August 9th! We'll be collecting from 6am to 6pm. Come drop off backpacks and school supplies and join our efforts to help 50,000 kids go back to school prepared!
