Chef Randy Evans is the visionary behind Haven, a seasonal kitchen offering only fresh, local ingredients. A native Texan, Randy, attended Baylor University where he was studying to be a doctor. Realizing that he was more excited about cookbooks than biology books, Evans decided to pursue a culinary career. He attended culinary school in Houston and later worked through every rank of the kitchen at the renowned Brennan's restaurant, where he was named executive chef in 2003. In 2009 Randy opened Haven, a true 'Green' establishment. From the lighting and AC to the kitchen equipment, every inch of Haven is environmentally conscious. Cadillac Culinary Masters - Cadillac and ABC-13 have come together to unveil a new series recognizing Culinary Masters in the Houston area. This partnership was created in an effort to pay tribute to Houston's finest chefs. To qualify for this prestigious honor, Chefs must meet the criteria established by our panel of judges. Each month, the selected chef will feature a 'Cadillac Culinary Masters' inspired menu with proceeds benefiting the Houston Food Bank.
