ENTERTAINMENT Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas featuring Billy Currington and Sara Evans presented by Reliant, Houston's Official July 4th Celebration, will celebrate America's Birthday with live concerts from Billy Currington and Sara Evans, presented by Reliant and a "Texas Sized" fireworks display! DATE & TIMES Wednesday, July 4 from 4pm to 10pm

LOCATION Eleanor Tinsley Park @ Buffalo Bayou

PARKING The most convenient parking for the Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas featuring Billy Currington and Sara Evans presented by Reliant is Entrance 2 of Theater District Parking, underneath Tranquillity Park, along Rusk, between Bagby and Smith. [See a map of places to park]

ROAD CLOSURES Per HPD, the first road closure begins at 1pm on Bagby from McKinney to Dallas. At 4pm, the Allen Parkway (inbound) will close at the Montrose exit. At 5pm, both inbound and outbound lanes of Memorial Drive will close.

ADMISSION General admission to the Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas featuring Billy Currington and Sara Evans presented by Reliant celebration is $8 per person. You can find discounted ticket information on the upper right hand side of this page.

NOT ALLOWED DOWNTOWN: Food and beverages (except infant formula and for special health needs), alcohol, coolers, glass containers, bikes, skates, skateboards, weapons, fireworks, umbrellas or other standing devices larger than 4 ft in diameter). No camera or video recording during any concert. No pets or animals (except for seeing and assistance animals).

EXPECTED GATE ATTENDANCE: 100,000

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS: While you're at Freedom over Texas, you can share your Fourth of July spirit with the troops who will be celebrating the holiday overseas. KBR and Reliant are collecting items for care packages. Employees have already donated enough items for 60 packages. And you can bring your donations to tomorrow's celebration. You can drop off your items at KBR Liberty Park and fill out postcard with a message to the troops.

EVENT HIGHLIGHT: The crowning highlight of Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas featuring Billy Currington and Sara Evans presented by Reliant will be the Fireworks Spectacular! Spanning Buffalo Bayou west of Sabine Bridge, this unparalleled fireworks display will combine specially choreographed music with unrivaled pyrotechnic artistry.
