HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's Friday and for this edition of Free Stuff Friday, it's all about back to school
The Shakespeare Festival is in full swing at the Miller Outdoor Theatre and there is still time to catch a performance of "Antony and Cleopatra." The production tells the story of the historical couple through the struggles of love and honor. The performances are Friday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30pm. Free tickets will be available the day of the show and seating on the hill is always available.
With school around the corner, get the kids ready with a free writing class presented by HPL Express over at Discovery Green. This educational event will take place on Saturday at 10:30am.
Sunday over at the Green, Target's Snack Shack is back offering free food and fun. Stop by and receive the exclusive "taste of Target's every day essentials" from 10am to 6pm.
Tuesday at Discovery Green will be the last Christian concert in the 4 Concerts in 4 Weeks series presented by NGEN Radio. Tedashii and Derek Minor will be the artist performing at the praise party from 7-10pm.
The office of council member Wanda Adams is getting the kids of District D ready for school with a free health fair and school supply giveaway this Saturday at Sunnyside Park, 3502 Bellfort, from 9am to noon. Bring your child and pick up free school supplies and children in need of immunizations will receive those free as well. Kids can take part in a fitness camp and the Houston Food Bank will be on hand passing out fresh produce as well. Enrolment forms and vaccine records will be needed to take part in this event.
Over at the children's museum, they are helping out Houston kids by offering free vaccinations to the first 200 children that come to the Family Free Nights from 5-8pm every Thursday during the month of August. Just be sure to bring in your child's immunizations records with you. Family free nights also allow free admission to the museum as well.
Free vaccinations will also be available at Pediatric and Adolescent Health Center in Cypress. On Tuesdays, August 13, 20th and 27th from 1-3pm.
