Thursday, August 04, 2011
MISSOURI CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A man accused of sexually assaulting a girl he met via text message went before a judge Thursday.
William Washington appeared in court on a charge of sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors say Washington posed as a 14-year-old boy while texting a 12-year-old girl. Investigators say Washington picked the girl up at a swimming pool, took her to his home, then assaulted her and dropped her off. Washington, 27, remains jailed without bond. Anyone with any information about Washington, including those who may have been approached or had contact with him, is asked to call Missouri City police at 281-403-8700.
