Check leads police to restaurant robbery suspects

(2/14/06 - KTRK/ALVIN, TX) (KTRK) -- Police have made two arrests in connection with nine restaurant robberies across Houston, Baytown, Deer Park, League City and Pasadena.

Thomas Mock and his wife Maxine Sallie were picked up at their home in La Marque. Investigators caught up with them following their latest alleged robbery at a Subway in Alvin.

After the robbery, police realized Sallie had eaten at the Subway about the same time as the robbery. She paid with a check, which led them straight to the couple.

Strangely enough, police had even questioned Sallie as a possible witness after one of the robberies.
