(2/21/06 - KTRK/SOUTH HOUSTON, TX) (KTRK) -- South Houston police busted a bakery for allegedly selling drugs instead of sweet bread.
La Esperanza Bakery on Michigan Street was closed after the health department took action Monday. Police arrested clerk Gloria DeLeón. They say she tried to sell cocaine to an undercover officer.
Her boyfriend and owner of the store, Martin Orduno, was arrested in 2004. Police say he was selling cocaine and Xanax at the same bakery.
