Jet with landing gear problem lands safely at Hobby

Thursday, March 23, 2006

A small Lear jet landed safely at Hobby Airport late Wednesday night after the pilot was worried the front landing gear hadn't dropped into place.

Before landing, the pilot flew close to the control tower so air traffic controllers could see if there was anything wrong with the front wheel. An indicator light came on in the cockpit.

The jet got the all clear to land and the pilot burned off some fuel before touchdown just in case. The landing was flawless and no one was hurt.
