Motorcyclist dies after slamming into car in SW Houston

Sunday, April 16, 2006

A night out for a group of friends on motorcycles turned into tragedy in southwest Houston.

One of them was hit by a car and died. Witnesses told police a car tried to make a U-turn in front of some bikes on South Post Oak near Main. Two of the motorcycles slammed into the car. One biker died at the scene.

"A good guy, though. We rode every weekend, went out, went to the clubs, go out and eat and all that, have fun," said the victim's friend Kevin Ware.

The second victim on a bike was rushed to a hospital with minor injuries. Police are still investigating.
