Fire breaks out at Bush Intercontinental Airport terminal

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

A restaurant fire at a Bush Intercontinental Airport forces the evacuation of Terminal C early Wednesday.

The flames broke out around 3am in Terminal C at Gate 33. An airport spokesperson said a storage facility near the Taco Bell caught fire. Firefighters quickly got things under control.

People in the terminal were evacuated as a precautionary measure. They were eventually allowed to go back inside.

Authorities said the fire didn't affect any flights and the cause of the blaze hasn't been determined.

There were no injuries or major damage during the incident.
