Houston-area dominates list of skinny cities

Tuesday, July 18, 2006

Houston has come a long way from being the fattest city in America. In fact, we're now number three on the list of the skinniest cities in the country.

A new ranking of cities by the average resident's body mass index shows Roseville, California, as the trimmest town. San Francisco is number 2. The Houston area dominates the rest of the top five. Houston is number three, followed by Missouri City at fourth, and Sugar Land at fifth.

All three cities have a body mass index of 24.8 -- a very slim and trim number.
