(8/14/06 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- A METRO bus got stuck in a ditch in the Heights overnight.
The bus driver was trying to avoid construction on East 20th Street when he made a sharp turn and the left back wheel went over the side of the road. The bus was lodged against a tree and its right front tire suspended slightly in the air.
The driver was the only one on the bus. He was not hurt.
