Authorities looking for missing woman

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Authorities in Liberty County are asking for your help in finding a missing woman who disappeared earlier this month.

Gloria Ryan, 51, lives on Truman near Maple in Liberty County. She was last seen August 7, but reported missing just this past Sunday. Investigators say they suspect foul play, but could not elaborate on why. They collected a piece of carpet, a door, and even part of Ryan's car port as evidence.

Her neighbors fear the worst. They say she moved in less than a year ago, and posted several "keep out" signs all over her property.

"She thought somebody was after her or something," said Ryan's neighbor, Fay Gibson.

Ryan's green Chevy van with gold stripes is missing. It has the license plate 7HKF24. One back window is broken out and covered with a trash bag. If you have any information, call the Cleveland Police Department at 281-592-2621.
