Search underway for missing Bacliff teen

Tuesday, November 07, 2006

A search is underway for a missing teenager whose best friend was recently found dead.

Kimberlee Ramsey, 15, was last seen leaving her home located in the 4600 block of 7th Street in Bacliff, at 7pm on Sunday, October 29. She was wearing blue jeans, a blue football jersey and black house shoes.

The body of Kimberlee's best friend, Terressa Vanegas, age 15, was found in Dickinson on Friday, November 3. Terressa had been missing since Tuesday, October 31.

Kimberlee and her family recently appeared on the Dr. Phil show (aired 10/16/2006) to discuss the dangers of being a runaway. The Dr. Phil show put Kimberlee in their Aspen Achievement Academy for Wilderness Therapy, where she learned skills to live off the land.

In light of Terressa's body being found, the whereabouts of Kimberlee is a concern. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500.
