Man charged with capital murder in pregnant girlfriend's slaying

(11/08/06 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- A northwest Houston man faces a capital murder charge, accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend.

Houston police arrested Vellar Clark, III, at his home on Tuesday. Back in March, the body of Gwen Sneed was found lying next to her motorcycle in a business district in north Houston. She was six weeks pregnant and had been shot to death.

Her family says she had planned to end the relationship with Clark. He is currently in jail with no bond.
