Lightning hits TV antenna, making hole in N. Harris County home

Friday, December 22, 2006

A local family has an amazing story to tell at Christmas after their home was struck by lightning.

It happened in north Harris County during Thursday's thunderstorm. The bolt hit a TV antenna and blew out some sheet rock in a bedroom. A 10-year-old girl told Eyewitness News the hit shocked her. She said she saw a blue light hit her leg which felt like it was on fire.

"A big ball of blue light just hit my leg," said Seless Sustaita. "It felt like it was fire or something."

Two other people say they were also struck. They are all OK.
