Trio of suspects with expensive taste in shoes sought by officials

(1/16/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- Investigators are asking the public's help to find three suspects who used a stolen credit card to buy expensive shoes.

On Monday, November 6, 2006, around 7:20 p.m., a man and a woman used a stolen credit card to purchase two pair of ladies' shoes valued at $395 each at the Neiman Marcus store in the Galleria. After leaving the store, they returned to purchase another pair, but left after clerks asked for identification.

The next evening the man returned with a different woman, and the lady purchased a pair of men's Prada shoes valued at $395.

The first female suspect had short hair and wore blue jeans and a short-sleeved knit top. The second female suspect was short with a medium build, wearing brown boots, blue jeans, a dark red or maroon shirt, and a black fuzzy hat. The male wore a white golf cap, bright plaid shirt and shorts on the second trip to the store. All three suspects are black.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspects in this case. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous.
