Shooting victims changing story to police

Saturday, February 17, 2007

Investigators have questions for three shooting victims whose stories so far aren't making any sense.

The three victims drove themselves to the offices of the South Houston police department last night, saying someone shot them during an attempted carjacking. The victims claim it happened at a gas station in southeast Houston, but have since changed their stories.

"We have no idea what those guys were up to until they give us the true story," said Chief Herbert Gilbert with the South Houston Police Department. "We probably won't ever know until someone else comes forward."

Investigators also found a gun in the victims' vehicle.
