(3/25/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a drive-by shooting in southwest Houston overnight.
The victim was in the back seat of a vehicle. Police say the vehicle tapped bumpers with another vehicle as the two cars were leaving a nightclub on the West Loop near Westheimer. One of the vehicles opened fire on the other.
The vehicle that was hit stopped for help when the driver saw a police officer on the road. The gunman got away.
