(4/01/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- Congressman Nick Lampson is now out of the hospital after coronary bypass surgery.
The Democrat had the surgery last Sunday to treat blockages of the arteries. A doctor recommended the procedure after a checkup in Washington. Lampson returned to Houston for the surgery at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.
A spokesperson says Lampson expects to return to Congress within a few weeks.
