Alvin teacher fired over alleged relationship with student

Tuesday, April 03, 2007

The Alvin School District has fired a teacher charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

School officials terminated 30-year-old Brian Cody's contract with the district earlier this evening.

Authorities say Cody taught at Manvel Junior High School where a 7th grader's parents say he had a sexual relationship with their son.

Cody is facing a felony charge of improper relationship between a teacher and student.
