Widow accused of killing husband by giving him alcohol enema

Monday, April 09, 2007

Trial is scheduled for Monday for a Lake Jackson woman accused of killing her husband by giving him a sherry wine laced enema.

Tammy Jean Warner was charged with her husband Michael's murder last November -- two and half years after his death. Investigators say Warner intentionally gave her husband an enema filled with sherry that sent his blood alcohol level skyrocketing to a fatal .47 percent.

According to court documents, Warner had received nearly a quarter million dollars from his life insurance.
