Thieves target HS baseball team from The Woodlands

Friday, April 27, 2007

Thieves targeted a Woodland's high school baseball team. Someone stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment from the team Friday night.

The Woodlands Christian Academy baseball team is just a few games away from the state championship. After Thursday night's playoff game, the team stopped for dinner in Columbus. That's when they believe someone stole equipment from their bus.

"I had my pitchers glove my first baseman's mitt, I had two bats," said pitcher Josh Hall.

The team's next playoff game is in six days. Players will not be able to replace everything they lost by then. Columbus police have few leads in the case.
