Sugar Land principal gives up fight to get her job back

Friday, May 11, 2007

We have an update on a Fort Bend County principal who quit after getting in trouble with the district for letting a teacher take time off to appear on 'The Bachelor.'

Former Colony Bend Principal Tammie Carpenter has given up her fight to rescind her resignation. Her attorney tells us the Fort Bend superintendent made some untruthful statements during a meeting with parents Wednesday night and she will not work for someone like that.

It all began when Carpenter let Amber Alchalabi, who is now off the show, take 22 days off work to take part.
