(5/31/07 - KTRK/STAFFORD, TX) (KTRK) -- A pedestrian was hit and killed by car in Stafford just minutes after police warned him about the traffic.
A Stafford patrol officer spotted a man on Murphy near Greenbriar overnight. The officer told the pedestrian to get on the sidewalk. Just 20 minutes later, officers got a call about a pedestrian hit by a car.
It was that same man who had been warned to stay off the streets. He died at the scene. No charges are expected against the driver.
