(6/11/07 - KTRK/PEARLAND, TX) (KTRK) -- Texas Equusearch volunteers resumed their search for a missing man from Pearland.
Kenneth Cummings, Jr., vanished a week ago and authorities fear he may have been harmed. Police have suspected foul play since Cummings was reported missing. June 4th was the last time anyone saw Cummings alive, when he was in the Montrose area.
Police say his car had been heavily damaged and that it looked as though someone had been injured inside of that vehicle.
Texas Equusearch got involved in the search for Cummings on Sunday. They are focusing their attention on a two-mile radius area around his home in Pearland.
Cummings' parents say they grew concerned for their son when he failed to show up for work at Southwest Airlines where he is a flight attendant, and after failing to get in touch with him for several days.
"Our hope is that he's still OK. We won't give that up until we actually find him, one way or the other," said Cindy Wisdom Texas Equusearch. "There are things that went on in the house or appeared to have gone on in the house and that the tire tracks that are left in this driveway and things like that kind of lends towards foul play. And that's never a good thing."
"This week has been very, very stressful and very emotional at times," said Kenneth Cummings, Sr. "Not a good time."Texas Equusearch crews will continue looking for Cummings for several hours. At least two dozen volunteers participating in today's search.
If they don't find him today, they will resume the search again tomorrow. If you have seen him or have information, call Pearland police at 281-652-1125.
