(7/12/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- We've learned new information about the little girl in a controversial Internet video. Child Protective Services says its investigation is over.
CPS says it found no signs of the drug Ecstasy in the toddler, seen in rolling her eyes in a video shot in a van. When it first surfaced on the Internet, authorities became concerned for the toddler's well-being because she appeared to possibly be under the influence of the illegal drug.
CPS and the Harris County Sheriff's office found the people in the van here in Houston and interviewed them. They said they just got bored on a long trip home from South Padre Island. The sheriff's office has finished its investigation and will not file any charges, now that the drug test has come back negative.
