Jury returns verdict in machete murder trial

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

It didn't take long for a Harris County jury to return a guilty verdict in the murder trial of Leon Andrade.

The jury deliberated less than ten minutes before finding Andrade guilty of murdering minister and business owner William Huang with a machete. Andrade attacked and killed Huang at Huang's Lucky Seafood Market in north Houston in March of 2006.

Andrade's wife had just started working at the market and Huang had tried to protect the wife and her daughter from Andrade.

Andrade's punishment trial has already begun.
