Two men were rescued from the Gulf of Mexico Saturday after their helicopter crashed.

The crash happened 130 miles southeast of Galveston at around 3:30pm. The Coast Guard received word from a captain on an oil rig who witnessed the crash. A Coast Guard helicopter was sent to the scene and found the wreckage along with two people in the water.

The Coast Guard crew brought the two men to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Their condition is unknown at this time.
