HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A former Westfield High School teacher is spending some time in jail on a charge of an improper relationship with a student.
The Harris County District Attorney issued a warrant today for Carlos Hector Valencia, who was later arrested.
Spring ISD suspended Valencia November 27th after it received a tip from a student through the school's website. Valencia was later fired. He taught Spanish for Spring ISD.
The school district says the alleged improper relationship appears to be an isolated incident involving one student.
