Houston police cadet fired

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- HPD Chief Harold Hurtt has fired a police cadet accused of stealing.

Chief Hurtt terminated Leonard Kelly Friday for violation of departmental rules and regulations. A department investigation showed that Kelly was suspected of theft.

Kelley started training at the Houston Police Academy in August and was supposed to graduate later this month.
