Suspected drug dealers shot in Conroe

  

CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- Two suspected drug dealers were shot by Montgomery County sheriff deputies during a sting.

It happened in a busy shopping center parking lot in Conroe late yesterday. Officers with a special investigations unit were watching the drug deal go down. When they moved in to make an arrest, officers say the driver tried to run over an officer with his pickup.

Several officers fired, and both the driver and a passenger were hit. They were both taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

One officer suffered minor injuries.
