Some Houston students were slightly injured when their bus was involved in an accident.

An HISD bus carrying 29 students from Hollard Middle School was traveling southbound on East Loop 610 when the wreck happened. The bus driver was preparing to exit on Clinton Drive when she noticed an accident occurring in the left lanes.

The driver moved further into the right shoulder to avoid the accident. While doing so, an 18-wheeler bumped the left side of the bus between the front bumper and windshield. Damage to the bus was relatively minor.

One student complained of minor neck pain. Other students may also be transported to hospitals for observation, but it does not appear there are any serious injuries.
