Woman slams car into SW Houston home

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was arrested after driving her car through a house in southwest Houston.

Police suspect the woman was racing her Honda down Richmond near Newcastle when she lost control and went over the median and across oncoming lanes of traffic into a yard. The car smashed through an attached garage and hit several cars before stopping at a fence at the back of the home.

Police say the driver failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI.
