Hearse parade brings somber message

A group of hearses rolling through Houston served as a somber reminder about the dangers of youth violence.

More than a dozen of them left the Woodlawn Cemetery today for a trip around the city. It was part of the "Stop the Violence" campaign aimed at sending a message to young people living in areas of town where youth-related violence has increased.

"I have two children, two sons I don't want that to happen to any of them," said Marian Scott Robey who works at the funeral home. "I don't want that to happen to me or anybody or nobody else's family,"

The campaign was the brainchild of the Houston Funeral Directors and Morticians Association which reports an increase in deaths among the city's youth.
