Missing one-year-old found safe

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- The child whose disappearance prompted authorities to issue an Amber Alert today has been found.

One-year-old Kaden Berry had been missing since Sunday when his mother was arrested at a Wal-Mart on FM 1960 in Humble. The woman reportedly told a man named Michael Richardson to drive Kaden to her grandparents' home and gave him their phone number.

When Richardson and Kaden didn't show up at the grandparents' home, they alerted authorities and an Amber Alert was issued.

Then today at around 1pm, Richardson gave Kaden to an employee at a Wal-Mart along I-45 and told them he would turn himself in to police later. The employee contacted police and gave a description of Richardson.

Police arrested Richardson at his home.

Kaden is being checked out by medical personnel.
