Toddler drowns in Montgomery Co. pond

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search for a missing toddler ends tragically in Montgomery County.

A two and a half year old boy was swimming in a pond with some older children Tuesday afternoon when someone realized he was missing. His life jacket was reportedly found on the ground near the pond.

The boy's father and grandfather reported him missing and a search got underway, focusing on the pond. Just before 10pm, the boy's body was recovered from the water.
