There's a warning from Richmond police. They want residents to be careful when they answer their phones.

They say a man is calling people, posing as a detective, asking for Social Security numbers. The caller claims he needs the information for an investigation.

Richmond police say it's not them. They never ask for personal information over the phone If you have a question about their officers, call the Richmond Police Department at 281--342--2849.
