Suspect shot by security guard

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected car burglar is recovering from a gunshot wound after being confronted by a security guard.

It happened in the parking lot of the Kings Best market on Martin Luther King near Old Spanish Trail. We're told the security guard spotted someone breaking into vehicles.

In the end, the suspect was shot in the leg. That man was taken to a hospital, and the security guard was questioned.
