HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers and Homicide Investigators with the Houston Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man who goes by the name 'Big O.'
On Saturday, September 19, at around 5:30am, Traveon Brown reportedly received a phone call from Tommy Jacobs, also known as "G-Town." Authorities say Jacobs wanted to know if he could come over to Traveon's apartment. He arrived at the apartment with Broderick Batiste also known as "Big O."
Once inside, Batiste allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded money from Traveon. Officials say Batiste then shot Traveon, who died as a result of his injuries. After the shooting, police believe Broderick Batiste and Tommy Jacobs fled to the Texas City/Galveston area where they live.
At this time Jacobs and Batiste are charged with aggravated assault. Jacobs has been arrested but Batiste is still at large. It is believe Batiste might be in the Texas City or Galveston area.
Batiste is a 30-year-old black male. He is 5'9" tall and weighs 260 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-8477 (TIPS) hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the arrest of Broderick Batiste. Tips can also be sent by text message - Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). All tipsters remain anonymous.
