HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Dozens of children were officially united with new families this morning.
Judge Michael Schneider's courtroom downtown looked more like a birthday party place as more than 60 children who were in custody of Children's Protective Services were officially adopted. CPS says nearly 1,000 children were adopted last year, and that there are hundreds more still looking for permanent homes.
