Atlantic League baseball reps visit Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- The minor league baseball team that's considering calling Sugar Land home could be part of the Atlantic League.

That league has eight teams in the northeast and its main offices are in New Jersey. Representatives from the Atlantic League visited Sugar Land and believe expanding to the Houston area would be good.

The city hopes to build a ballpark and attract a minor league team by 2012.
