HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We have a new warning concerning the 2010 Census.
Now that census workers are going door to door, the Census Bureau says there have been a lot of scammers trying to rip people off, either by calling or e-mailing them. The bureau says census workers will never call or e-mail you to ask for your full social security number, ask for money or donation, or ask for any type of banking or credit card information. If you think you have been the victim of a scam, contact the Census Bureau at 866-872-6868 or visit 2010 Census online here.
