DEER PARK, TX (KTRK) -- Two people were found dead in their home Thursday and police say the case appears to be a murder-suicide.
Deer Park police say another resident of the home on West Ninth near Cedar Street in Deer Park, and a neighbor, heard gunshots and called police. A weapon was found in the living room where both bodies were discovered. Investigators say both died of gunshot wounds. No note was left. The woman is 22 years old, and the man is 30. The woman used to live in the home, but moved out a couple of months ago. The woman's mother rents the home. There was never any kind of relationship between the man and the woman. Police say the woman was there to babysit a sibling when she was shot. There haven't been any past calls for police at the house. Autopsies of both bodies are still being completed.
