HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Dozens of parents attended the Cy-Fair school board meeting to speak their mind regarding the suicide of a Hamilton Middle School student.
Many speakers offered support for the school saying Hamilton was portrayed in a negative light following the suicide of Asher Brown. The boy killed himself allegedly due to bullying. "My goal here is not to criticize you, but encourage you to listen to parents like me whose children report being bullied on an almost daily basis at school, and allow us as parents to work with the school to change the social atmosphere at our schools to one of inclusion and respect," said a mother whose children were bullied. The Cy-Fair ISD has not completed its investigation into claims Hamilton officials did not help brown after he complained of bullying.
