Boat accident injures five in Kemah

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Five people are recovering after a boat accident near Kemah.

Firefighters say the victims were boating in Galveston Bay Saturday night when they crashed into something -- it's unclear what. The boaters made it to a pier under the Highway 146 bridge and called for help.

Two people were taken to hospitals. The other three received treatment at the scene.
